These types of Air
Driers are designed to take advantage of the natural
tendency of desiccants to establish equilibrium with their
surroundings and to deliver dry and clean air used for
pneumatic instrumentation or critical applications.
The drier consist of two towers with beds of activated
alumina absorbent desiccants. The System completes with
prefilter, oil filter, after filter and also with necessary
valves, pipelines, fittings, timers and electrical items
etc. When the wet air from the compressor enters in the
bottom of alumina filled tower losses all its moisture
contents and the dry air exists at the top of the tower. Due
to absorption all the desiccants were saturated. Then an
automatic timer diverts incoming air to another tower. When
one tower is drying the air, the other tower regenerates the
desiccants. This is a self contained Process, which uses a
purge of already dried air to pass through the desiccant bed
at lower pressure. This Purge air removes the absorbed
moisture from the absorbent desiccant.
This process is automatically reversed from one tower to
the other on a timed sequence basis [5 minutes drying and 5
minutes regenerating].
The drier is fixed on a base frame with all accessories
and in a ready condition to operate. Mere bed bolt is enough
to erect the driers. A rain, dust and moisture free room is
preferable for erection. Adequate floor clearance and the
surrounding temperature should be normal level around the
drier is required. To get the best result the inlet air to
be sufficiently cool [between 25 deg C to 40 deg C]. So an
after cooler is necessary to get the above level. Optimum
size of Tower is used to avoid excess usage of purge air
pressure drop excess desiccant dust and obtain a better
result of 40 deg C dew point. All types of spares are ready
stock to avoid customer's break down problem. Capacities
ranges from 5CFM to 5000CFM.
